There are two separate actions, and the smaller one is usually what people want.
Action | Where | What it removes |
Delete a service's personal data | The service's page on my.quavern.com | Your personal data for that service only. The account stays. |
Delete the myQuavern account | Account page on my.quavern.com | The identity used across every Quavern service. |
Both are irreversible, and both ask you to type a confirmation.
Deleting personal Marl data
Deletes your personal Marl conversations, the attachments they used, your personal usage records and your memories. It revokes personal and device Marl tokens and records Marl consent as off.
It does not delete the myQuavern identity, billing, subscriptions, sales requests, organisation-shared data or organisation service tokens.
Deleting personal Quavsit data
Deletes your usage periods, per-key usage days, Quavsit account settings, departure boards, widgets and their usage, and your feed watch with its events. It revokes your personal Quavsit keys.
Billing, subscriptions and metered events stay.
Both of these also clear your telephone number
The number is personal data, and these routes are how you ask for your personal data to go. So deleting Marl's data or Quavsit's data also removes the telephone number from the identity.
The consequence, stated before you confirm: if SMS was your second step, deleting that data leaves the account with your password alone. Add an authenticator app or a passkey first if you want the account to keep a second factor.
Deleting the whole account
Broader than either of the above. Deleted with it: personal conversations, attachments and usage; sessions, refresh tokens, API tokens, sign-in handoffs and e-mail verification state; consent records, trial redemptions, sales requests, queued verification mail and failed checkout attempts. Organisation memberships are removed, and organisation activity is anonymised while shared data remains with the organisation.
Kept or handled separately: a minimal anonymous record for database integrity, with the original address and display name removed; terminal subscription records and minimised completed-checkout records; shared organisation conversations and attachments, which stay with the organisation. If the account was linked to the payment processor, deleting the customer there runs separately after the local anonymisation.
When deletion is refused
Deletion waits while:
a subscription billed by this account is not yet cancelled or otherwise terminal;
this identity still owns an active organisation — transfer ownership first;
a checkout attempt is unresolved;
a chat request is still processing.
Cancel first, wait for the billing state to settle, then try again.
Before you delete
Export what you want to keep. Deletion cannot be undone, and support cannot restore a deleted account.
